Fighting Fear

There's a wall in here and my back's against it
Fear's in my eyes and I need to face it
There's a catch to escape and to escape I need
To catch the fear but it runs and I need to chase it

So the chase is on my common sense is gone
And my fists are in the air like a pair of bombs
And my thoughts are right but my intentions wrong
And what I thought was wrong was right all along

I can hear a voice but its words aren't clear
Soft echo's trying to suppress my fear
But my fear's like a beast tryin' to chase my soul
And my soul's like a fighter trying to fight the bull

And it thrusts it's horns, tryin' to pierce my chest
Try's to shoot the gun but I wear a vest
And I bite the bullet but fear got me hexed
And my strong resistance got the demon vexed

I try my best to resist the pain
And the pain resist my will all the same
Same results cuz my life won't change
But to change I need to win the war and turn the page

Flip... So I take a step
Steps to defeat what's got me kept
Cuz what I kept is out with these words I shout
Shouts from my soul that decrease with doubt

And I doubt a compromise to save my soul
But to save my soul I gotta fight the bull
The bull that is fear that i need to chase
Cuz I chase to escape the fear I face

In the place I'm in I gotta stand my ground
Cuz the chase is on with the fear I found
I gotta rise to the top to avoid the fall
I gotta move my back from against the wall
